Inventory Controller & Receiving Clerk

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of standard costs for materials across project cycles
• Conduct detailed variance analysis for materials, labor, overhead, and volume
• Prepare and analyze reports on standard vs. actual costs and budget variances
• Maintain accurate inventory records for construction materials, equipment, and consumables
• Oversee material receiving, inspection, storage, and handling processes on-site
• Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
• Implement processes to minimize material loss, damage, and waste
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and costing processes

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, cost accounting, or inventory control
• Experience in the construction industry preferred
• Proven experience in inventory analysis, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and compliance frameworks (SOX preferred)
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar
• Familiarity with project management tools like Procore

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in large-scale or international construction projects
• Proficiency with corporate systems such as CMIS, MPCS, EBOM, ICBS, SIR, or CHAMPS
