Inventory Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, controlling the outflow and inflow of inventory
• Record purchases, maintain database, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports
• Develop inventory process enhancements and investigate daily inventory issues
• Lead the annual inventory process in collaboration with accounting
• Assist in developing control policies and procedures related to inventory control
• Monitor First Expired, First Out (FEFO) inventory management for perishable goods
• Analyze inventory statistics, including sales performance and weeks on hand per SKU
• Process and document returns following established procedures
• Track inventory maintenance and present information and recommendations to management
• Support management in training personnel, scheduling work, and monitoring quality controls

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a similar field preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in an inventory control position
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, charts, formulas, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions
• Familiarity with SAP and EDI programs is a plus
