Inventory Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, controlling inflow and outflow
• Record purchases, maintain databases, and reconcile actual stock counts to computer reports
• Develop inventory process enhancements and investigate daily inventory issues
• Lead the annual inventory process in collaboration with accounting
• Assist in developing control policies and procedures
• Monitor First Expired, First Out (FEFO) management for perishable goods
• Analyze inventory statistics and weeks on hand for individual SKUs
• Process and document returns following established procedures
• Track inventory maintenance and present recommendations to management
• Support management in training personnel and monitoring quality controls

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or similar field preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in an inventory control position
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions
• Ability to work 3rd shift (Tentative Schedule: 2:00PM - 10:30PM)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SAP
• Familiarity with EDI programs
