Inventory Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy through systematic cycle counting and ABC classification
• Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and ERP system records and investigate root causes
• Ensure proper material location and labeling to support 5S and visual management principles
• Assist with physical inventory audits and participate in Kaizen events
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and in compliance with standards
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless integration of inventory control processes
• Generate and maintain inventory reports, metrics, and documentation
• Support Lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve material flow

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of manufacturing inventory processes, including cycle counting and stock control
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience with inventory reconciliation and root cause analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle EBS or SAP
• Familiarity with IATF / ISO16949 standards
• Experience with cycle counting programs and physical inventory audits
