Inventory Accountant

Responsibilities

• Record all inventory transactions in the accounting system
• Ensure accuracy of inventory numbers through monitoring, audits, and reconciliations
• Prepare inventory reports including valuation, variance analysis, and COGS
• Analyze inventory trends and identify process improvements
• Collaborate with purchasing, manufacturing, and sales for forecasting and planning
• Manage and report on inventory-related expenses like freight and storage
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of two years of experience in inventory accounting
• Familiarity with accounting software and inventory management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to visit branches
