About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging, rigorous Tier 2 reading intervention lessons aligned to academic standards
- Use data to inform instruction and differentiate to meet varied learning needs
- Oversee the Learning Commons to ensure a welcoming and academically focused space
- Serve as an advisor to a small group of students
- Collaborate with Instructional Coaches to improve teaching practice
- Create trusting relationships with students and their families
- Analyze data with students to set individual learning plans and team goals
- Incorporate technology into daily teaching and maintain PowerSchool records
- Supervise students to ensure safety at all times
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licensure (or eligibility) in all subject areas to be taught
- Successful teaching experience, preferably in urban schools
- Knowledge of effective classroom management and college readiness strategies
- Ability to function in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
