Interventional Radiology Technologist I

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies and assist physicians during interventional procedures
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Provide high-quality patient care by addressing physical and psychological needs across all age groups
• Position patients and select appropriate technical factors for imaging
• Prepare contrast media for administration and maintain technical imaging equipment
• Process images and patient records in accordance with established operational procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
• Recognize urgent patient conditions and initiate life support measures when necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of formal Radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved school
• Current ARRT (R) certification
• Valid Illinois IEMA licensure
• Ability to work on-site in Chicago during day shifts (7am-5:30pm)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology (IR) cross-training
