Interventional Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in performing various interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Set up and stock procedure trays with necessary interventional equipment and supplies
• Act as a scrub assistant during procedures while maintaining strict sterile techniques
• Operate and perform quality control on radiological equipment, including C-Arm and Ultrasound
• Manage patient data input, image processing, and archiving to medical repositories
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards
• Monitor radiation safety and act as a Radiation Safety Officer when required
• Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and preventing waste

Requirements

• High School Diploma required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure
• BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers
• Ability to stand in a protective apron for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology certificate
• 4–6 years of related experience
• Experience with inventory monitoring and maintenance
