About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in performing various interventional radiology procedures
- Prepare and set up procedure rooms, including stocking trays with necessary supplies and interventional equipment
- Act as a scrub assistant during procedures while maintaining strict sterile techniques
- Position patients, perform transfers, and explain procedures to address patient concerns
- Operate and maintain radiological equipment, including C-Arm and ultrasound systems
- Manage patient data, process x-ray images, and archive them to the appropriate repositories
- Monitor radiation safety and act as a Radiation Safety Officer
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure accurate patient billing and documentation
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure
- BLS certification
- Proven knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist with patient positioning up to 400 pounds
- Ability to stand in a protective apron for extended periods (45-60 minutes)
Preferred Qualifications
- Interventional Radiology certificate
- 4–6 years of related experience
- Experience with inventory monitoring and maintenance
