Interventional Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in performing various interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare and set up procedure rooms, including stocking trays with necessary supplies and interventional equipment
• Act as a scrub assistant during procedures while maintaining strict sterile techniques
• Position patients, perform transfers, and explain procedures to address patient concerns
• Operate and maintain radiological equipment, including C-Arm and ultrasound systems
• Manage patient data, process x-ray images, and archive them to the appropriate repositories
• Monitor radiation safety and act as a Radiation Safety Officer
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure accurate patient billing and documentation
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure
• BLS certification
• Proven knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist with patient positioning up to 400 pounds
• Ability to stand in a protective apron for extended periods (45-60 minutes)

Preferred Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology certificate
• 4–6 years of related experience
• Experience with inventory monitoring and maintenance
