Interventional Radiology Special Procedure Tech Apprentice 1

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic Interventional Radiology (IR) exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment under general supervision
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills to provide high-quality images for interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation protection
• Assist physicians with sterile procedures by scrubbing in and maintaining sterile technique
• Prepare sterile trays with necessary supplies and ensure all required intervention materials are available
• Perform patient preparation tasks, including IV starts as required

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiography program
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registration required upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
