About the role
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas and market share objectives for the interventional surgery product line
- Develop and implement strategic account plans for key hospitals, surgical centers, and integrated delivery networks
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with surgeons, nurses, hospital administrators, and procurement teams
- Conduct product demonstrations, in-service training, and educational sessions for clinical staff
- Identify customer needs and provide solutions through appropriate positioning of BD's product offerings
- Collaborate with internal marketing, clinical, and customer service teams to maximize business opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies
- Manage the sales pipeline effectively, providing accurate forecasts and activity reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or Biomedical Engineering
- 3-5 years of successful medical device sales experience, preferably in surgical or interventional specialties
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing market share
- Strong understanding of the surgical environment, operating room procedures, and hospital purchasing processes
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory
