Intervention Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead a small manageable and self-contained classroom and provide individualized, hands-on daily instruction
• Collaborate with other special education professionals and disciplines to work effectively with each student
• Plan and teach lessons aligned with each student’s IEP goals
• Assess academic, behavioral, and social growth and adjust instruction using data
• Partner with families, support staff, and service providers to coordinate student support
• Maintain clear documentation to support compliance and progress monitoring

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field
• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License or Alternative Resident Educator License
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with families and school teams
• Dedication to inclusive, student-centered instruction and behavioral support
• Comfortable with challenging behaviors and openness to learning support strategies
