Responsibilities

As an intern, you will be a full member of the project team working on the reinforcement of the KIJK dike between Rotterdam and Gouda. Depending on your interests, you can focus on work preparation, execution, or a combination of both.

Work Preparation focus:

• Drafting and developing work and execution plans
• Applying for permits and purchasing materials
• Supporting calculations and preparing quotes
• Contributing to planning, quality, and budget monitoring

Execution focus:

• Assisting on the construction site and supporting the supervisor with daily tasks like measurements and material checks
• Monitoring progress and ensuring safety and quality standards are met
• Supporting various preparatory and administrative tasks
• Learning how a project is realized from preparation to delivery

Requirements

• Currently studying Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or International Land and Water Management
• Proactive "doer" mentality
• Eager to learn and develop professionally
• Ability to work collaboratively on and around project sites between Rotterdam and Gouda
