Internship Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and assess the internship program for the School of Social Work
• Develop internship opportunities with agencies to provide high-quality learning experiences
• Utilize internship management platforms to enhance program efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accessible communications, forms, and manuals
• Serve as a member of the RISE (Resiliency, Inclusion, Support and Engagement) team
• Monitor student adherence to the Social Work Code of Ethics and program policies
• Support School Social Work Professional Educator Track students with school/district placements
• Assist OMSW students with national and Chicagoland internship placements
• Communicate weekly with Academic Advisors regarding student issues and problem-solving
• Participate in regular meetings with the Internship and Student Affairs teams

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
• At least 3 years of student-facing experience
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, internet, and email applications
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• PEL-School Social Work endorsement
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as a self-starter
