About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and update trip planning tasks to ensure accurate and timely support for each trip
- Communicate with airports, ground handlers, and local authorities to arrange required services
- Coordinate domestic and international customs processes, including APIS setup
- Track active flights and provide real-time updates to handling teams and customers
- Create, verify, and transmit complex flight plans, weather briefings, and contingency itineraries
- Acquire and interpret aeronautical publications and NOTAMs for flight crew compliance
- Maintain customer operational files, including overflight/landing permits and diplomatic clearances
- Advise customers on route planning based on airport restrictions, fuel availability, and regional considerations
- Ensure all flight planning adheres to FAA, EASA, and other applicable international regulations
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in international trip operations or flight planning
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin (verbal and written)
- Strong computer skills and comfort with operational databases
- Ability to work non-standard hours and across multiple time zones
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to maintain composure in time-sensitive situations
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Dispatcher certificate or equivalent
- Prior experience in flight operations, dispatch, or trip planning
- Knowledge of APIS, customs, and immigration processes across multiple regions
- Experience with international regulatory compliance (FAA, CAAC, EASA, ICAO)
- Strong mathematical aptitude and knowledge of aircraft performance
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
