About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage international transport solutions for out-of-gauge (OOG) products, primarily finished trains, to ensure efficient delivery to customers or project sites.
- Lead the procurement process by preparing transport specifications for RFPs, analyzing technical and financial proposals, and conducting negotiations with transport providers.
- Prepare Transport Method Statements and all necessary technical documentation to ensure safe and compliant execution.
- Oversee project implementation, including running kick-off meetings and coordinating schedules to meet contractual obligations.
- Supervise all transport operations, including managing import/export formalities and handling unexpected logistical challenges.
- Monitor project performance using Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) indicators and evaluate supplier performance.
- Travel internationally to supervise critical on-site operations, such as initial loading and unloading processes.
Requirements
- University degree in international transport or supply chain management.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or out-of-gauge (OOG) transport.
- Proficiency in English (fluent level).
- Strong leadership, initiative, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to travel internationally for site supervision and project meetings.
- Results-oriented mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Fluency in French.
