International Transportation Leader for Out of Gauge/Exceptional Transport

Responsibilities

• Manage international transport solutions for out-of-gauge (OOG) products, primarily finished trains, to ensure efficient delivery to customers or project sites.
• Lead the procurement process by preparing transport specifications for RFPs, analyzing technical and financial proposals, and conducting negotiations with transport providers.
• Prepare Transport Method Statements and all necessary technical documentation to ensure safe and compliant execution.
• Oversee project implementation, including running kick-off meetings and coordinating schedules to meet contractual obligations.
• Supervise all transport operations, including managing import/export formalities and handling unexpected logistical challenges.
• Monitor project performance using Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) indicators and evaluate supplier performance.
• Travel internationally to supervise critical on-site operations, such as initial loading and unloading processes.

Requirements

• University degree in international transport or supply chain management.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or out-of-gauge (OOG) transport.
• Proficiency in English (fluent level).
• Strong leadership, initiative, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to travel internationally for site supervision and project meetings.
• Results-oriented mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Fluency in French.
