About the role
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on international trade issues including CFIUS reviews, customs, sanctions, export controls, and trade remedies
- Support international trade-related transactional and regulatory work
- Represent clients before government agencies and in administrative proceedings
- Provide guidance on compliance with U.S. trade regulations and free trade agreements
- Draft and negotiate high-quality legal documents and submissions
- Manage multiple matters simultaneously and collaborate with colleagues across practice groups
Requirements
- Experience in international trade
- Experience with CFIUS, customs compliance, or trade remedies
- Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills
- Admission to the D.C. Bar or eligibility to obtain admission through waiver
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
