International Student Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Provide immigration support and advise international students on F-1 and J-1 visa regulations.
• Serve as a University Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer.
• Process immigration documents, including I-20 issuance, travel requests, and CPT/OPT reporting.
• Coordinate cross-cultural programming, workshops, and student events to increase interaction between domestic and international students.
• Plan and implement international student orientation programs and pre-arrival information.
• Manage student success initiatives, including the host family program and housing coordination.
• Collect and analyze data regarding student satisfaction and service effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least one year of related experience (can include graduate assistantships or internships).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
• Three years of experience within a higher education institution.
• Direct experience working with international students.
• Working knowledge of student information systems such as Banner.
• Experience in event coordination and workshop facilitation.
