About the role
Responsibilities
- Advise international scholars on co-curricular, academic, and personal matters, considering individual backgrounds and circumstances.
- Coordinate meeting schedules, agendas, and action plans while resolving issues or escalating them as required.
- Plan and implement curricular and co-curricular programs, including enrichment activities and process improvements.
- Facilitate educational workshops and seminars with a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Conduct detailed analysis of program efficiency and student learning outcomes to inform future planning.
- Oversee the implementation of evaluation frameworks for various programs and initiatives.
- Review and assess student applications for program admission.
- Develop content for marketing and promotional materials.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in international higher education, supporting cohorts from pre-arrival to graduation.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and delivering enrichment programming.
- At least 2 years of experience in academic governance, academic program administration, or co-curricular design.
- Experience working with university faculty, staff, and high-level officials.
- Demonstrated experience delivering events and workshops.
- Proven experience reviewing and assessing student applications for admission.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, and ROSI/ACORN or similar student data systems.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills within a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- International experience working in a non-Canadian educational setting.
- Proficiency in a second language.
