International Personal Lines Senior Underwriter – APAC

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite personal lines risks in accordance with company guidelines and risk appetite
• Review risk submissions within assigned authority limits and support business proposals for partners and product changes
• Develop data and analytics to support P&L, providing detailed analysis of product performance and growth
• Strengthen underwriting governance for Residential, Auto, Specialty Personal Lines, and Extended Warranty in APAC
• Conduct APAC audits to ensure compliance with underwriting best practices and guidelines
• Determine technical pricing using market statistics and company experience data
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior underwriters and country teams
• Build and maintain bottom-up P&L statements for assigned portfolios and monitor performance against targets

Requirements

• 5-8 years of underwriting experience in mass consumer products
• Strong knowledge of Residential or Auto Insurance (experience in Mobile, Cyber, or Extended Warranty is a plus)
• Proven experience working with cross-functional and senior leadership teams
• Strong stakeholder management and influence skills
• Ability to balance risk selection with commercial objectives to achieve profitable growth
