About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the messenger department day-to-day operations and lead a team of staff
- Oversee mail and package deliveries, maintaining accurate records and logs
- Coordinate team schedules, time off, and arrange coverage for call-outs
- Train and coach new staff and backfills on policies and procedures
- Ensure high-level customer service is provided to all tenants and employees
- Maintain equipment operationality and report technical issues
- Provide monthly reports on delivery volume and weekly incident reports to management
- Execute tenant-related requests and inquiries
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and computer-based systems
- Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior work experience
- Experience in shipping/receiving or mailroom operations
