Responsibilities

• Assist the EVP of Audit and Compliance in reviewing and evaluating internal, operational, and management control systems in the lending function
• Plan work on assigned audit segments and determine records or activities to analyze
• Recommend means of obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating evidentiary data
• Review transactions, documents, records, reports, and methods for accuracy and effectiveness
• Prepare working papers that record and summarize data on assigned audit segments
• Hold preliminary discussions of apparent deficiencies with operating personnel
• Report audit findings and recommend corrections for unsatisfactory conditions or cost reductions
• Perform real estate appraisal reviews prior to loan funding
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information

Requirements

• 10+ years of banking experience in all areas of the lending function
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with standard auditing practices and procedures
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Good interpersonal and interviewing skills
• Knowledge of computer systems for documenting audit findings
