Internal Control Over Financial Reporting Consultant

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of business controls to mitigate operational risk and financial reporting misstatement
• Support the identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring, and reporting of operational and financial misstatement risks
• Identify deviations from US GAAP and Bank policies and recommend corrective actions
• Document and update entity-level controls and financial reporting assertions in collaboration with process owners
• Review business procedures to identify gaps, control deviations, and improvements
• Register and report periodically on financial misstatement risks, incidents, and key risk indicators
• Provide training and awareness regarding internal control and operational risk matters

Requirements

• Master's degree in accounting or a related field
• CPA or equivalent national public accounting certification
• 5+ years of professional experience in financial auditing or risk management
• Experience evaluating internal controls under US GAAP
• Knowledge of GAAS, ISA, AS, and COSO frameworks
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• CIA, CRISC, CMA, CFM, or COSO internal control certification
• Experience working with large datasets and data analytics tools
• Knowledge of French or Portuguese
