Internal Audit - VP US Finance & Tax

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of audits aligned to the bank’s standards, focusing on US Finance and Tax processes.
• Manage continuous monitoring activities and engage with senior stakeholders to discuss business changes regarding risks and controls.
• Develop an impactful annual audit plan and produce high-quality audit reports for diverse users.
• Oversee the tracking, validation, and closure of audit issues across a portfolio, ensuring quality and timely resolution.
• Manage challenging stakeholder discussions regarding audit exceptions and maintain independence and objectivity.
• Prepare and review material in response to regulatory requests.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Internal Audit, financial statement analysis, or financial regulatory reporting within a banking environment.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, Basel, and regulatory expectations related to financial and capital reporting.
• Expertise in audit leading, including planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess key controls in complex environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, CIA, or FRM.
• Experience working directly with regulators and managing regulatory requests.
• Experience executing data analytics or designing data analytics test strategies.
