Internal Audit Vice President

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end independent assurance for Barclaycard Acquiring Transformation, covering customer and merchant lifecycle impacts.
• Support the definition of audit approaches for multi-year, enterprise-critical transformation programs.
• Coordinate assurance across global and regional teams, partnering with Compliance, Technology, Payments, Risk, and Change leaders.
• Deliver audit coverage for UK Corporate Bank issuing businesses, focusing on key risks such as Credit and Fraud.
• Identify operational risks and assess the effectiveness of internal controls in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate key findings and strategic recommendations to senior managers, directors, and stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory news and industry trends to provide timely insights and best practice recommendations.

Requirements

• Proven experience auditing transformation initiatives within a banking or financial services environment.
• Deep expertise in payments processes, merchant acquiring, and credit card issuing.
• Experience within the Fintech sector or related financial technology environments.
• Demonstrated track record of leading and managing teams and building relationships with senior management.
• Experience engaging with and managing regulatory bodies.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge transformation decisions and design assumptions.
• Extensive internal audit, risk, or controls experience within an Investment Bank or similar institution.
