Internal Audit Operations Co-op

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide objective assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and corporate governance processes
• Participate in annual audit resource planning, scheduling, and various audit engagements
• Assist in control design reviews and continuous audit reviews
• Participate in planning sessions to develop audit techniques using data analytics
• Use Tableau to develop data analytics and visualization reports
• Prepare management reports to drive business insights

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program majoring in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Statistics
• Must be returning to school after the work term (or require the term as a mandatory component to graduate)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated knowledge or experience working with data analytics software and visualization tools such as Tableau
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with programming languages such as Python for data analytics
• Ability to think critically and work independently under tight timelines in a dynamic environment
