Internal Audit Expert

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive internal audit framework and strategy for Bybit EU
• Plan and execute risk-based internal audits across finance, operations, compliance, IT, and cybersecurity
• Lead the transition from outsourced audits to in-house audit capabilities
• Assess and monitor adherence to Austrian and EU regulatory requirements, including MiCA, MiFID II, GDPR, and DORA
• Perform detailed audit work including walkthroughs, testing, and issue validation
• Prepare audit reports and present results, root causes, and remediation plans to senior management and the Audit Committee
• Coordinate and track the remediation of findings to ensure timely resolution

Requirements

• 7–15 years of experience in internal audit or related risk/control functions within financial services, fintech, or crypto
• Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Austrian and EU regulatory frameworks
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CAMS, or ICA are required
• Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
• Outstanding project management skills and ability to manage multiple audits concurrently
• Hands-on approach with the ability to perform detailed audit testing personally
• Ability to work effectively within a global organization and communicate with senior stakeholders
