Intern Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform production work including welding and basic assembly for standard vessels, heat exchangers, and compressor packages
• Assemble and weld sub-assembly parts, supports, legs, angles, and water boxes
• Install components, heads, and system piping according to required specifications
• Operate within a Lean Six Sigma environment to meet production budgets and quality standards
• Assist in training less experienced employees as needed

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Welding program
• Basic math and blueprint reading skills
• Basic fabrication skills and comprehension of safety rules
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Physical ability to sit, stand, reach, and walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces
• Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate tools and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
