About the role

Responsibilities

  • Identify the physico-chemical characteristics of special waste based on safety data sheets and production applications
  • Update OMoD codes within the SAP database
  • Develop a decision tree to generalize the identification of OMoD codes for special waste
  • Compare treatment solutions based on compliance, safety, environmental impact, cost, and traceability
  • Contribute to the improvement of procedures for sorting, storing, labeling, and evacuating special waste
  • Prepare a final synthesis including strategic recommendations

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (HES) in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environment, or an equivalent field
  • Strong interest in environmental regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets (SDS)
  • Proficiency with standard office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical mindset, rigor, and ability to work autonomously
  • Knowledge of Swiss waste regulations (specifically OMoD) is a significant asset
