About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify the physico-chemical characteristics of special waste based on safety data sheets and production applications
- Update OMoD codes within the SAP database
- Develop a decision tree to generalize the identification of OMoD codes for special waste
- Compare treatment solutions based on compliance, safety, environmental impact, cost, and traceability
- Contribute to the improvement of procedures for sorting, storing, labeling, and evacuating special waste
- Prepare a final synthesis including strategic recommendations
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (HES) in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environment, or an equivalent field
- Strong interest in environmental regulations
- Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets (SDS)
- Proficiency with standard office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Analytical mindset, rigor, and ability to work autonomously
- Knowledge of Swiss waste regulations (specifically OMoD) is a significant asset
