About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional administrative and technical work on special projects assigned by the department.
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and manuals relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Compile data and create spreadsheets, charts, and graphics to support department functions.
  • Assist with data entry, interpretation, and analysis.
  • Participate in document management, including pulling files and organizing information.
  • Support technical aspects of pretreatment, source control, environmental compliance, and water resources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering, Planning, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
  • Valid California Class C driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior related professional work experience.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Publisher.
