About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care as a veterinarian, including examining patients, ordering tests, making diagnoses, prescribing treatments, and communicating with clients and referring veterinarians.
- Perform emergency duty on a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Participate in the clinical and tutorial instruction of Phase II students, including daily student rounds.
- Engage in Specialty Service Journal clubs and attend all required HO Rounds/Seminar sessions.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree.
- NAVLE certification required for licensure or to start the program.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other essential veterinary duties.
