Intern, LATAM Corporates – Consumer & Retail

Responsibilities

• Support analysts within the LATAM Consumer & Retail team focused on non-financial entities
• Perform data analysis on quantitative and qualitative factors influencing existing ratings and new mandates
• Assist in maintaining financial databases and key economic data
• Research market information and credit trends for surveillance purposes
• Support lead analysts in preparing presentations for credit rating committees
• Assist in the publication of sector-specific research and commentaries
• Perform back-office file maintenance and database administration
• Support special projects and other duties as required

Requirements

• Student in final years of undergraduate studies in economics, finance, accounting, or a similar field
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work under time pressure
• Strong team-player mindset with a high productivity work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in credit analysis and corporate finance
• Exposure to financial statement analysis in a professional or academic setting
• Knowledge of or keen interest in the Consumer, Food & Beverage, Agriculture, Protein, or Retail sectors
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to interacting with stakeholders
