Responsibilities
- Assist Scientists in the setting up and execution of experiments, ranging from early-stage screening to routine Quality Control testing
- Maintain multiple insect species through diet preparation, egg collection, cage maintenance, and routine monitoring
- Prepare materials for bioassays and assist in setting up in vitro and in planta bioassays to evaluate insecticidal candidates
- Record data and results in an organized fashion
- Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory and greenhouse, including glassware, growing containers, and benches
Requirements
- Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences (emphasis in entomology, nematology, or plant pathology preferred)
- Hands-on lab and greenhouse experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Commitment to work at least 10-15 hours per week during the school year

- Quick-learner, innovative, and team-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
