Intern (Contracts & Procurement)

Responsibilities

• Support the Contracts Administration and Procurement (CAP) team with daily operational needs
• Review vendor insurance certificates for compliance with Agency requirements
• Assist with purchase requisition reviews and purchase order processing
• Conduct vendor reference checks and research project scopes of work
• Perform administrative tasks including data entry, document scanning, filing, and meeting scheduling
• Maintain spreadsheets and databases to track Key Performance Indicators, goals, and budgets
• Create and update spreadsheets utilizing graphs, pivot tables, and charts
• Perform quality control checks on documents to ensure consistency and accuracy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate studies program
• Major in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Access
• Familiarity with basic principles of public agency purchasing and procurement
