About the Company

Bluestem Biosciences uses American corn and existing bioethanol infrastructure to produce critical chemicals domestically. Our proprietary biomanufacturing process represents a new, cost-effective way to produce platform chemicals at scale, securing U.S. supply chains and reinvesting in agricultural America.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects delivering tangible advancements in industrial biotechnology and sustainable action
• Work on specific deliverables such as bio-based chemical markets, downstream separation processes, computational biology tools, or strain engineering strategies
• Engage in professional development and gain industry-relevant skills in a cutting-edge field
• Utilize AI tools to expand knowledge and impact within the role

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field (scientific, engineering, or business)
• Strong academic record
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
• Proactive and curious mindset
