Intermediate Structural Engineer (Bridges)

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D and 3D modeling, analysis, and calculations for bridge structure design
• Ensure the accuracy of design drawings and contribute to the development of preliminary and final plans
• Analyze and design according to relevant codes, design criteria, and structural theories
• Identify technical requirements for high-risk projects and develop engineering solutions
• Conduct seismic analysis and design
• Participate in technical meetings and develop strategies to resolve complex technical problems
• Implement new technologies and ensure all work complies with quality management plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in bridges or structures
• 4+ years of relevant structural design experience
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Canada
• Experience designing various types of concrete and steel bridges and retaining wall systems
• Proficiency with engineering design software such as MIDAS, CSI Bridge, Advance Design America, or LUSAS
• Strong knowledge of design codes including CAN/CSA S6, AASHTO LRFD, AISC, and ACI
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to travel as required by the business

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in engineering specializing in bridges or structures
• Experience with Design-Build project delivery
• Experience with AI agents and tools
