Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate electrical design, drafting, material procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Prepare technical documents including electrical drawings, SLDs, equipment layouts, and technical specifications
• Perform and verify electrical design calculations
• Conduct power systems studies, including arc flash analysis, using ETAP and SKM
• Work with senior engineering personnel to compile reports and review design documents
• Provide field support to construction management and site teams
• Coordinate with the internal drafting team

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Electrical Engineering program
• Registered P.Eng. with APEGA
• 4-8 years of experience in utilities, processing, power generation, or mining
• Proficiency with ETAP or similar software
• Experience designing 120/208VAC, 480VAC, and 600VAC systems
• Experience designing medium voltage (4.16kV to 25kV) and high voltage (138kV to 240kV) systems
• Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
