Intermediate Accountant

Responsibilities

• Complete allocated sections of insolvency assignments for senior or manager review
• Ensure all work is conducted in line with the firm's quality control manual
• Assist in setting up files with correct documentation and reviewing prior year correspondence
• Prepare clear, concise workpapers and provide appropriate conclusions
• Manage statutory lodgments and maintain Insol 6 task lists and control forms
• Communicate effectively with clients to obtain necessary information and build trust
• Draft professional correspondence with sensitivity to the recipient
• Maintain accurate daily time records and meet budgeted chargeable unit targets

Requirements

• Knowledge of Creditors Voluntary Liquidations and the Voluntary Administration process
• Understanding of voidable transactions and required supporting documentation
• Responsibility for statutory lodgments in matters on ledger
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience or knowledge of Insol 6 software
• Strong written and oral communication skills for dealing with creditors and clients
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate sound judgment
