Interior Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and restroom maintenance
• Clean carpets and strip/wax floors using buffers, strippers, vacuums, and other specialized equipment
• Assist in moving and rearranging furniture and bulk items
• Empty trash and garbage containers and clean office furniture
• Assist in setting up facilities for special university events
• Deliver cleaning supplies to various on-campus locations
• Assist Post Office staff with the delivery of large packages as needed
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of interior maintenance services, practices, and procedures
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Physical ability to climb stairs, work on knees, and lift arms overhead
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills
• Ability to read and compute the mixing of cleaning solutions
• Ability to work a 40-hour week, including occasional evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience operating professional maintenance equipment
