Interior Finishing Material Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop quality methods and procedures for interior finishing materials
• Select, identify risk, and approve interior finishing materials at supplier locations
• Manage interior finishing material processes for aircraft cabinet components
• Ensure materials meet standards for safety, quality, schedule, and cost
• Document and present technical results clearly to peers and management
• Manage project schedules and budgets to meet company financial goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, design, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in the wood selection process
• Solid knowledge of veneers, hardwoods, finish coatings, upholstery, and wallpaper
• Proficiency in applying core LEAN manufacturing tools (e.g., Process Mapping and 5M)
• Ability to pass vision testing (minimum 20/20 corrected) and color perception tests
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn production software
• Experience in project or program management

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Advanced multidimensional thinking and complex issue-solving skills
