Interior Architectural Designer

Responsibilities

• Prepare concept designs with Senior Interior Designers, Interior Architects, and Design Directors
• Prepare spatial planning and schematic design schemes (RIBA Stage 2)
• Assist in preparing design development presentations and documentation (RIBA Stage 3)
• Assist in preparing tender documentation packages including drawings, details, schedules, and specifications (RIBA Stage 4)
• Liaise with the wider design team, including engineering services, specialist sub-consultants, and suppliers
• Assist in liaising with clients, taking meeting minutes, and managing project-related filing
• Develop detailed design and construction packages with a focus on technical detailing and buildability
• Answer site RFIs and attend Design Team meetings

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the Interior Design or Architecture industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture
• Experience in high-end residential and/or hospitality projects
• Ability to produce work packages independently to RIBA Stage 4
• Strong technical knowledge of architectural and joinery detailing
• Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
• Understanding of suppliers, materials, hardware, sanitaryware, and lighting specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with SketchUp and 3D Studio Max
• Understanding of cost management within architectural and FF&E budgetary frameworks
