About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative and operational tasks for the O’Shaughnessy Theater, including the Frey Theater and Recital Hall.
  • Manage rental logistics, including soliciting inquiries, drafting contracts, and acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Handle financial administration such as bookkeeping, invoicing, concessions reporting, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Serve as House Manager for select events (up to 12 per month) and manage Ticket Office operations to ensure a seamless patron experience.
  • Monitor public safety, event readiness, security, and accessibility needs in collaboration with University departments.
  • Maintain client relationships and support community engagement through artist visits and student performance activities.
  • Prepare and review data reports concerning attendance, revenue, and sales projections to inform strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in live events or event-based work, preferably within a higher education institution.
  • Experience working in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize projects with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, "can-do" attitude under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in live events or event-based work in higher education.
  • Experience with event-based operations, administration, and revenue generation.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with ticketing systems in assigned seating venues (AudienceView Unlimited preferred).
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to take ownership of key outcomes.
