About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide general support across the Division of Student Affairs with a focus on first-year programming and academic/social support.
- Support the Office of the Dean of Students (ODOS) in providing guidance to a specific cohort of incoming students.
- Help students navigate academic and personal challenges, empowering them to be problem-solvers.
- Connect students to essential campus resources to facilitate their success and well-being.
- Articulate the institutional value of diversity and foster an equitable, inclusive community.
- Assist in the development of tools to help students make difficult decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate policies and procedures clearly in writing and orally.
- Proven ability to be collaborative, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Skilled in active listening and program facilitation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of related experience working with teen or college students.
- Experience supporting complex programming or large-scale initiatives.
- Ability to process and respond to complex information and shift gears quickly in a fast-paced environment.
