Interim Assistant Director, Student Affairs & First-Year Experience

Responsibilities

• Provide general support across the Division of Student Affairs with a focus on first-year programming.
• Offer academic and social support for incoming students through the Office of the Dean of Students.
• Help students navigate academic and personal challenges and connect them to campus resources.
• Foster an equitable and inclusive community by articulating the institutional value of diversity.
• Support the development of student problem-solving skills and decision-making tools.
• Assist in the execution of complex programming and initiatives for the first-year cohort.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in active listening and program facilitation.
• Ability to process complex information and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience working with teen or college students.
• Experience supporting complex student programming or initiatives.
• Ability to self-regulate and shift gears quickly during demanding periods.
