Interface Requirements System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of SR-1 interface requirements and verification products to ensure compliance during testing and evaluation
• Provide technical integration across engineering disciplines and cross-program elements, offering risk-based oversight
• Support the Lead Systems Engineer in evaluating prime contractor deliverables and verification objectives
• Perform systems engineering tasks including trade studies, reviews, and the development of key program products
• Implement Digital Engineering best practices and utilize modern tools to support program milestones
• Manage requirement Verification and Validation (V&V) activities to ensure design compliance
• Identify, document, and communicate technical risks within the NASA Risk Management System

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or a related field)
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, integration, or launch vehicle definition
• Proven expertise in requirements management, interface definition, and verification/validation strategies
• Experience using Digital Engineering tools such as DOORS Next Generation, Jira, or MagicDraw
• Ability to work effectively in a self-directed, dynamic team environment
• Must be a US Citizen and possess a STAR ID

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), such as OCSMP
• Demonstrated technical leadership of engineering teams
• Knowledge of NASA Systems Engineering policies and procedures
• Experience with launch vehicle programmatic planning and prime contractor oversight
