Interest Rate Swap and FX Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle for FX, precious metals, interest rate derivatives, and digital assets
• Validate and enrich OTC trades, ensuring accurate booking and lifecycle representation in internal systems
• Manage trade confirmations via electronic platforms and bilateral workflows using SWIFT
• Perform daily cash, position, and wallet reconciliations, investigating breaks across Nostro accounts and digital wallets
• Manage lifecycle events including interest rate resets, FX forward rolls, and crypto events
• Monitor funding requirements and support CLS pay-in processes and intraday liquidity management
• Identify and escalate settlement failures and operational risks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with Front Office, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance to support client onboarding and process improvements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in OTC Operations or Middle Office within a bank, broker-dealer, or commodity firm
• Deep product knowledge of Interest Rate derivatives (IRS, FRAs) and FX products (Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs)
• Experience with precious metals settlement and crypto operations (wallets, exchanges, blockchain basics)
• Familiarity with CLS Group and SWIFT messaging (MT300, MT103, MT202)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and a control-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Proficiency in SQL or Python for data automation
• Experience with firm integrations and implementing system/process changes
