About the role
Responsibilities
- Track executed interconnection agreements (LGIA/GIA) and amendments to ensure all milestones and compliance requirements are met.
- Own and maintain a portfolio-level IA-obligation tracker to manage the transition from development to construction and operations.
- Monitor Network Upgrade (NU) execution, including cost, schedule, and design assumptions for projects approaching financial close.
- Manage material modification request workstreams, ensuring requests are scoped, contracted, and submitted on time.
- Coordinate with Project Delivery Leads to align interconnection status with EPC schedules, energization plans, and commissioning activities.
- Manage deliverable capacity positions by tracking financial assurance postings and coordinating ICAP deferral processes.
- Support the transition of projects from COD into operations by handing off interconnection compliance obligations to Asset Management.
- Evaluate self-build opportunities for upgrades in coordination with engineering and procurement teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of experience in interconnection, transmission planning, grid integration, or asset operations.
- Direct experience tracking IA/LGIA obligations and network upgrade execution.
- Familiarity with ISO/RTO processes, market rules, and deliverable capacity mechanisms.
- Proficiency with power system tools such as PSSE, PSLF, or PSCAD.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and external study teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BESS, standalone storage, and hybrid interconnection requirements (protection, reactive capability, frequency response, etc.).
- Knowledge of post-COD IA obligations and NERC/FERC compliance requirements.
