About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed support to children and young people aged 12 to 17 in a residential care setting
- Apply the CARE therapeutic framework to achieve positive outcomes for residents
- Support children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect
- Assist with activities of daily living and personal care for those with complex medical needs or disabilities
- Work a flexible roster including afternoon, sleepover, and weekend shifts to support 24/7 residential operations
Requirements
- Diploma in Community Services or a related field (or current enrolment in a relevant Diploma or Degree)
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR certificates
- Australian Driver's Licence
- Willingness to assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Ability to clear probity checks, including National Criminal History, NSW Working with Children Check, and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check
