Intensive Therapeutic Care Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed therapeutic support to young people with intellectual disabilities and complex needs in a residential setting
• Build safe, consistent, and trusting relationships to promote emotional regulation, wellbeing, and personal growth
• Support young people presenting with PTSD, developmental trauma, and high-intensity behaviours
• Apply therapeutic frameworks to achieve positive outcomes for young people and their families

Requirements

• Diploma in Community Services or a related field (or higher)
• Experience supporting children, young people, or people with disabilities
• Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate
• Current driver’s licence
• Ability to work a roster that includes afternoon, sleepover, and weekend shifts
• Ability to clear probity checks, including National Criminal History, NSW Working with Children Check, and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check
