Intensive Care Nurse

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Perform regular assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Use and maintain medical equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, and feeding pumps
• Administer medication via various routes
• Care for patients receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Recognize patient deterioration and escalate care timely
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and relatives
• Prepare patients for discharge or transfer and maintain accurate records

Requirements

• Valid NMC registration
• At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the ITU sector
• Ability to provide clinical references and 3 years of employment history
• Enhanced DBS or ability to apply for one
• Valid Right to Work in the UK
